Augmented Reality (AR) art has emerged as a dynamic and rapidly evolving form of artistic expression, leveraging technological advancements to alter a viewer's perception of reality, forming a translucence within reality for the presentation of an intersecting and interactive 3d screen - found on your phone screen. One of the most valuable aspects of AR art for the Galloping Goose project is that there is a very minimum of disruption of the real environment (possibly all that would be involved is a sign post with a bar code). The bar code would trigger the insertion of the AR art piece within the environment.
AR technologies offer new possibilities for blending virtual elements with physical surroundings, creating immersive, intense, hypnotic and interactive art experiences, or quite subtle seamless experiences.
